The Maine Woods: A landscape of working forests and collaborative conservation
Private Lands Partners Day Day (PLPD) brings together private landowner leaders and public partners from across the country to share their personal experiences with cooperative efforts to conserve rural working landscapes for both people and nature. The event, in its 10th year, has become the premier annual event spotlighting collaborative conservation and public-private conservation partnership. Partners for Conservation in partnership with Keeping Maine’s Forests and our sponsors our pleased to present the 2017 meeting in Bangor, Maine.

October 3: Evening Reception at Cross Insurance Center
October 4: Full day bus tour of sites with dinner in Greenville on the shore of Moosehead Lake.
October 5: Full day of presentations at Cross Insurance Center with banquet dinner
OPTIONAL TOUR - Friday
Depart Bangor at 8:00 AM via motor coach for Acadia National Park including a visit to the top of Cadillac Mountain, includes a lobster bake lunch (other options available) at Bar Harbor Lobster Bakes in Hulls Cove followed by an afternoon in Downtown Bar Harbor. Return to Bangor at approximately 5:30 PM. Cost is $70 per person. Spaces are limited and full refunds will be granted if the trip minimum (40) is not reached. Download the information flyer.
Blocks of rooms have been reserved at properties near the Cross Center (below). This is high season in Maine so early reservations are recommended.
- There will be both live and silent auctions to benefit Partners for Conservation
- For those wanting to plan a longer visit to Maine before or after the conference, Keeping Maine’s Forests recommends that you start your vacation planning at the Maine Office of Tourism website.
REFUND POLICY: Full refund if registration is cancelled prior to September 18th. No refunds after that date.
