Tom acquired land in Scotland, CT about 11 years ago; an abandoned dairy farm that had not been active in nearly 60 years. In the process of restoring pastures, a study had been conducted and it was determined that a population of New England Cottontail (NEC) Rabbits had been confirmed and efforts were established to engage in a seven year habit improvement program to enhance the population of NEC. In conjunction with maintaining open space for the preservation of the NEC, the property was enhanced to support farming activities, including a heard of Scottish Highland Cattle, hay, soybean and corn crop production.
